Paul J Watson has been practising as a Teesside Solicitor since 1982. He was formerly a partner at Archer Parkin & Townsend of Stockton (now Archers Law Firm) before forming a partnership as Messrs. Pearson & Watson.

Paul Watson was based in Borough Road, Middlesbrough and his former partner, Geoff Pearson, was based a separate office in Norton, Stockton on Tees.

The partnership was severed in 1987 and the sole practice, Paul J Watson Solicitor, was formed.

Since becoming a sole practitioner, Paul Watson has dealt with high profile cases, particularly in the criminal defence area of law.

Paul Watson holds Legal Aid Franchises in both criminal and family law, and is a member of the Specialist Accreditation Family Law Panel.

The firm is a small family based practice, with less than ten employees, two of whom are directly related to Paul Watson. Paul’s wife, Julia Watson is the firm’s accountant and Crown Court Clerk and his daughter, Gemma Watson is the firm’s Conveyancer and General Office Manager. Both have worked within the firm for a period in excess of ten years.

More recently, the firm has employed an Assistant Family Solicitor, Amanda Adegoke, who began working for the firm in October 2009 and who also deals with Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters. Amanda is fluent in the Nigerian languages, Hausa and Yoruba.

The firm has a dedicated and loyal administrative staff, who are qualified legal secretaries and who are able to offer clients assistance in general enquiries when senior staff are engaged.
